March 30, Sechelt Public Library, 7pm to 8:30pm. Sheila will read from her new book, Shine Bright: Live A Supernova Life. This is a Federation of BC Writers event and will feature two additional non-fiction authors — Heather Conn and Claire Finlayson. It promises to be an inspiring evening!

April 25, Sunshine Coast Arts Centre, 6:30pm to 8pm. Sunshine Coast Area 73 Toastmasters International Speech Contest and Evaluation Contest. Come see the best speakers on the Sunshine Coast compete for a chance to make it to the world stage!

May 13, BCIT Downtown campus, Vancouver, BC, 7am to 8pm. Oh! The Ways You’ll Grow! District 96 Toastmasters Spring Conference. ps. Sheila was the Test Speaker for the D96 Evaluation Contest.

June 7, Gibsons Public Library, 5:30pm to 7:30pm. How to Flex Your Mental Muscle. Improve your life and relationships by building your skills to become a better listener, observer, thinker and problem-solver in this free workshop facilitated by Sheila Cameron.

June 21, Above the Gibsons Cinema, 7pm to 9pm. Junco Jan’s Brave Mike 5. Writers, singers, dancers, ranters all bravely baring their souls in a 5-minute time slot.

June 22, Gibsons Chamber of Commerce in Sunnycrest Mall, 6:15pm to 8pm, Coastmasters Toastmasters. Join Sheila for the final speech in her Advanced Communicator Gold level for Toastmasters. This humorous speech will qualify Sheila for Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) status.

July 1, Fort Langley National Historic Site, 10am to 3pm. Festival of the Book, hosted by Langley Writers’ Guild and Vivalogue Publishing. Sheila will be selling signed copies of Shine Bright: Live A Supernova Life alongside children’s book author, Michael Wilson.

Aug 18-20, Rockwood Centre, Sechelt, Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts. Visit Sheila at the local authors’ book table or at a Meet the Author session: Friday 3:20pm to 4:10pm; Saturday 12:15pm to 1:10pm; Sunday 12:15pm to 1:10pm

Sep 30, Sechelt Indian Band Hall, Sechelt, BC. 12pm to 4pm. SEWN Self-Employed Women’s Network Annual Fall Fair. Sheila will be helping out at the Toastmasters booth, talking up FUSE Community Work Hub. Look for free copies of Shine Bright: Live A Supernova Life on the share table.

Sep 30, Davis Bay Hall, Sechelt, BC. 6pm to 8pm. Sheila is the Contest Chair for the Sunshine Coast Area 73 Toastmasters Tall Tales Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest. Come see the best speakers on the Sunshine Coast as they spin yarns and show off their impromptu speaking skills.

Oct 12-15, Various locations – Whistler, BC, Whistler Writers Festival. A great little festival with workshops, readings, comedy sketches, literary cabaret, panels, and the Whistler Independent Book Awards given out.
